April Newsletter

Dear Church Family,

April is a month of transformation. We journey through the final days of Lent, gathering at the foot of the cross, only to be met with the joy of Easter morning. The story of resurrection is not just an event in history; it is the heartbeat of our faith, reminding us that God is always at work making all things new.

Throughout this Lenten season, we have reflected on what it means to pour out our love for Christ, just as Mary did when she anointed Jesus’ feet. As we approach Easter, may our lives also be filled with the fragrance of love, grace, and gratitude. This is a time to renew our commitment to God, to serve our neighbors, and to embrace the hope that Christ offers.

We invite you to join us for our Holy Week services:

  • Palm Sunday (April 13) – A celebration of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
  • Tenebrae Service (April 17) – “Tenebrae,” meaning “darkness” in Latin, refers to a solemn Christian service held during Holy Week, particularly on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, characterized by the gradual extinguishing of candles and a loud noise at the end, commemorating Christ’s suffering and death.
  • Easter Egg Hunt (April 19) – Magnet Cove 11 am
  • Easter Sunday (April 20) – The joyous proclamation: “Christ is risen!”

As spring blooms around us, let us embrace the new life that God offers. May our church be a place where the fragrance of love is evident in our worship, our service, and our daily lives.

Blessings,

Candace
