I haven’t updated since moving to Beebe and starting as First United Methodist Church’s senior pastor. As the pandemic starts loosening its grip on the area, we have slowly started resuming some normal events at the church. Of course, they are all pretty new to me in the context of Beebe but most are familiar. I love being here and the people are wonderful.
We will have an Easter Sun Rise service, which is a first for me. I usually had two churches to manage so it would have been too much to add an even earlier service on top of that but I am looking forward to it here. I have a great team that works well together.
I am getting settled in at my new house, as well. It is a lot smaller than the parsonage I came out of but is charming. Adam Smith is going to come and decorate it in a couple of weeks. I adore Adam and he is so creative with the stuff I already have so it is like a new house every time I move.
I have had both of my vaccines and only need one more week until full immunity. I still wear my mask and we require it for church events, just an FYI.
