I have noticed that several mass shootings have taken place in our country recently. Some seem specific to the murder of women, not all, but many. Yoga studios and banks, domestic violence that took the lives of several women recently several in their young twenties. It has always been dangerous to be a woman and I don’t have any great insight to offer to prevent the problem. I will say the the availability of weapons in the home of domestic violence perpetrators seem to be a common factor. I think this might be something that our legislature can help overcome. Women don’t deserve dying at the hands of their husbands or boyfriends. We, as a society, have a tendency to minimize those deaths. It needs to stop.
