Christmas

READ Luke 2:1-20

This is the best time of the year to be a Christian as we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  All Christians should lay aside our petty differences and celebrate together the love that God showed this world when God sent His son down to lead us to salvation.  I hope that this season brings love, joy and peace into your lives as you celebrate the birth of Christ.  It is so easy to get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas and worry about money and presents and all those other distractions.  Don’t…don’t let yourself forget why we celebrate Christmas.  Don’t exhauster yourself to such a degree that you cannot celebrate the Gift that God has given to each and every one of us. Christmas is not meant for the presents or the parties or the family gatherings (although those are all good things).  Rather it is a celebration of God made flesh over 2000 years ago in Bethlehem.  If you keep that in mind all the other things fall into place and you can truly celebrate the season the way we are supposed to celebrate – by praising God.

Blessings,

Rev. Candace
