Sunday I preached about Jesus’ calling the disciples and the intriguing possibility that he may have already been friends with the first four he called from the Sea of Galilee (James, John, Simon, Andrew). It changes the dynamic a little to think that he was calling his friends to follow him into ministry versus total strangers, doesn’t it? Does this mean that you might be being asked by Jesus to talk about your faith to your friends and colleagues? When was the last time you invited a friend to come to your church? We often think that our friends have their own churches and would not be interested in coming to your church but could you be wrong? Could they be searching for a church that has people like you attending? You are pretty cool and fun after all. Just some things to think about as you go through your daily lives.
