Thanks to the help of so many friends and family, I was totally moved to the new parsonage on July 1. The unpacking is taking several more days. You know how much I hated the packing phase of moving, the unpacking is proving almost as frustrating. Usually because I can’t find anything, I expect I will just go buy some new nails soon. I did manage to donate my favorite jeans to charity. I went and tried to buy them back but they had already been sold.
But beside that, the move has been as smooth as silk. The people have been absolutely fantastic. They have welcomed me and helped me in any way I might have needed. I can’t gush enough about these two churches.
It will take me a while to become familiar with the rhythm of these churches. I look forward to learning all their names. They might have to wear name tags for a while.
I will hold all the pastors that moved last week in my prayers, as they become familiar with their new churches.
